The monthly speaker series Collaboration à la Carte includes presentations – some live and some pre-recorded – on interprofessional collaborative practice, education and emerging areas of research. Join us, for the first two presentations in the series, to hear Dr Carole Orchard speak about the competency framework and Dr John Gilbert reflect on the pandemic’s impact on IPEPC. For access to future presentations become a CIHC member today.
Dr. John Gilbert reflects on the pandemic's impact on IPEPC (interprofessional education practice and care)
Dr. John Gilbert has been a seminal leader in the education of health professionals in British Columbia, Canada and internationally. His vision and leadership led to the concept of interprofessional education being developed as a central tenet of collaborative person-centred practice and care.
CIHC's Competency Framework with Dr. Carole Orchard
Dr. Orchard co-chaired the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative's IP Competency Working Group who developed the CIHC National IP Competency Framework and an international working group is now working on audit tools to measure the process of collaboration in teams. Her research currently focuses on the role of patients both in their own self-care and in collaborative teams as well as around interprofessional team conflict and its resolution.

Coming up next in the series:

TBA - February 11, 2021
